Charity Check Presentation Celebration

We wrapped up Charlotte Wine + Food's 35th year of fundraising by distributing $580,000 to four Charlotte-area children's charities including A Child’s Place - a program of Thompson Child & Family Focus, Augustine Literacy Project, GenOne, and The Learning Collaborative at a Check Presentation Celebration. Collectively these incredible charities promote upward mobility in Charlotte through an array of services and serve over 1000 children in our community!

It is the largest donation we have been able to make in all of CW+F recorded history and we are forever grateful to our CW+F community!

On behalf of Charlotte Wine + Food and our charitable beneficiaries, thank you to all of our supporters who made this possible - sponsors, restaurants and caterers, vintners, distributors, retailers, auction donors and bidders, board, staff, volunteers, and event attendees!

A short awards presentation was held at the celebration. Congratulations to our fiscal 2023 award winners:
The Bobb Red Award for outstanding industry supporter went to Sam Hart, Executive Chef & Owner at Counter- & Biblio.
The Chairman's Award for outstanding supporter went to CW+F Board Member John Reid.

We also welcomed Ariail Barker as the new Chairman of the Board and celebrated Palmer Steel's service as Chairman of the Board from 2020-2023!
