Charity Check Presentation Celebration

We wrapped up Charlotte Wine + Food's 34th year of fundraising by distributing $300,000 to four Charlotte-area children's charities including A Child’s Place - a program of Thompson Child & Family Focus, Augustine Literacy Project, GenOne, and The Learning Collaborative at a Check Presentation Celebration. On behalf of Charlotte Wine + Food and our charitable beneficiaries, thank you to all of our supporters who made this possible - sponsors, restaurants and caterers, vintners, distributors, retailers, auction donors and bidders, board, staff, volunteers, and event attendees!

It is the largest donation we have been able to make in the last five years and we are forever grateful to our CW+F community!

Special thanks to Cork Vault for hosting and to Chef Michael Bader of FluentFare for providing an incredible spread. A short awards presentation was held at the celebration. Congratulations to our fiscal 2022 award winners:

The Chairman's Award for outstanding supporter went to the CW+F Staff including Executive Director, Lauren Deese;
Marketing & Communications Director, Michelle Harden; & Spring Intern, Makayla Johnson.
They were chosen for successfully pulling off the most robust schedule of events and programs CW+F has hosted since Lauren became ED in 2018.

The Bobb Red Award for outstanding industry supporter went to Charlotte Rawa, Fine Wine Ambassador - Penfolds
